Age 62, of Mt. Washington, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Husband of Kelly Gregg- Vates; grandpap of Lenni; son of the late Chester and Mary Ann Vates; brother to John, Lori, Lisa, Scott and the late Cindy; also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bill was a US Army Veteran during Operation Desert Storm and a decorated War Veteran during the Gulf War.  He was well known for many years as the frozen foods manager at the Shop n’ Save located on Mt. Washington.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 4-7:30 pm with a Blessing Service and Military Honors to follow.
