William J. Cura

Age 80, of Mt. Washington on Friday, February 9, 2024. (aka Willy or Bill), was born March 7, 1943, to John B. and Theresa Cura. Beloved husband of Janet Schneider for 57 1/2 years. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his loving son Brian T., his brothers Carl B., John I. and sister Theresa Church.  Surviving are in-laws Sandra Marshall and Thomas Schneider and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Bill graduated from St. Mary of the Mount High School, served in the US Army in Vietnam, and finally opened his own auto shop, Carrick Motor Transmission, in Carrick until he closed it upon his retirement.  He raced cars, loved his boats, and joined all the clubs on Mt. Washington.  Visitations on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Brusco - Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. 214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington (412 381-2323), where a Blessing will be held on Tuesday evening at 8 pm. Interment on Wednesday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:00 pm
