Wayne Mark Cochran

Age 78, of Bridgeville, PA, formerly of Greencastle, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1946, in Massena, NY to the late Kenneth and Leona (New) Cochran.

Wayne graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School in 1963 and joined the Air National Guard where he served as a reservist at the Morgantown, WV airlift unit for six years. He later attended Messiah University and was of the Christian faith.

Wayne was a talented draftsman by trade and worked for Frick Company in Waynesboro, PA and later worked for Caterpillar in York, PA as well as Diamond Rio Trucking in Harrisburg, PA. Wayne was an avid hunter, enjoyed archery and had a vast collection of guns which he meticulously cared for. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Sportsman’s Association in Enola, PA.

Of all of Wayne’s many life accomplishments, his greatest pride was being a father and grandfather. He was deeply proud of his family and the people they have become. Wayne is survived by his three children, daughter, Massina Renee Cochran of St. Thomas, PA, son, Abram Mark Cochran of Burgettstown, PA, daughter, Rachael Joy Stefano (Justin) of Collier Township, PA, and granddaughter, Cheyanne Renee Cochran of Cascade, MD. He is also survived by two siblings, Diane Wenner (the late David), of Fishersville, VA and Korleen Cochran of Bradenton, FL along with loving nieces and nephews and many adoring friends.

A visitation will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. until the Blessing Service at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, 214 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington, PA 15211. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
