Age 81, of Overbrook, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023 after a brief illness. Beloved daughter of the late Francis Jarzab and Angela Zielinski Jarzab. Terri married Anthony Kowalecki Sr, (d. 2004) in 1960. He was the love of her life, even though she had to kick him in the butt on occasion to keep him in line. Terri is survived by their four children: Anthony Jr (Suzie), Sheila Janusz (George), Nicholas (Lynn), and Eric (d. Teresa), six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Frank Jarzab (Marge), and her cat companion Jessie. Terri worked in food service all her life, at St. Frances Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Giant Eagle, until her retirement in 2014. Her unstoppable work ethic ended her brief retirement in 2016, when, at age 75, she started working for Aramark at Heinz Field for Steelers games and at PPG Paints Arena for Penguins games and concerts, where she continued to work until her illness. Thanks to her employment there, we have pictures with the Stanley Cup. Terri delighted in the simple things in life until the very end, going to the local casinos to play slots with her youngest son, dinner and movies and theater with her oldest son, and bingo and cruises with her lifelong girlfriends. How she loved her Penguins and Steelers! She was spunky to the end, a bright light who passed knowing that she was dearly loved and would be missed by many whose hearts she touched. Visitations on Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., 214 Virgina Avene., Mt. Washington (412-381-2323), where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 10am. Burial to follow at Allegheny Cemetery. www. bruscofalvo.com
