Telesfor J. “Ted” Kuchnicki

Age 96, of Mt. Washington, and formerly of South Side, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Son of the late Stanley and Cornelia (Skweres) Kuchnicki; Devoted and loving husband of the late Edythe (Galasso) Kuchnicki; beloved father of Joseph (Christine) Kuchnicki; and dear grandfather of JT and Rachel Kuchnicki; brother of Leonard (the late Joan ) Kuchnicki and Mary (the late Jeremiah) LeDonne; also brother of the late Stanley, Frank (Delores) and Thomas Kuchnicki; brother-in-law of William Galasso and the late Guy (Josette) Galasso; loved and survived by three generations of nieces and nephews. Ted is an Army Veteran, having served in occupied Japan after WWII. He worked at Lawrence Paint Co., where he met the love of his life, Edy, and retired from Gateway Steel Company. Known as Dziadzi to his grandchildren, he loved spending time at camp with his brothers and was always up for an adventure, so long as he had a full tank of gas and a pocket full of money. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Friends and family will be received on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at the Brusco - Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. 214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington (412-381-2323). Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Mount Church/Mary Queen of Peace Parish.
