SUE B. (SUSIE) PLUMMER

Age 74, of Mt. Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2017,
surrounded by family. Beloved mother of Matthew Peter (Rhonda) Hughes and Rachel (Paul) Webster. Wife of Donald E. Plummer and sister of Dr. David Brougher (Carol). Dearest grandmother of Kailey, Zach and Lexie Hughes and Juliet and Tucker Webster as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jeanne and Dr. Lear Brougher, Susie was preceded in death by her brothers Dr. Robert Brougher and Donald Brougher and her nephew Jeff Brougher. Growing up in Edgewood, Susie lived in Chatham Village while her children were young. In 1979, she co-founded and managed A Third Hand, a personal service company that she operated for ten years. She loved entertaining family and friends, planning and cooking with great panache many dinner parties she and Don held in their Mt. Washington home with the best view of the city. She was a wonderful friend and enjoyed traveling, reading, hosting dinners, doing Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, finding new recipes, spending time in their mountain cottage and the ocean, all while sharing much laughter and compassion with all who knew her. The family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, February 10, 2018 11am-1pm at the Brusco - Falvo Funeral Home, Inc.  214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington (412 381-2323), with a luncheon at the Chatham Village Club House to follow.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity. www.bruscofalvo.com
