Age 95, of Mt Washington, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Sophie was born on March 12, 1930 to Marian and Bernadette Gasiorowski; she was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas Fitzgerald and Victor Pielin; beloved mother of Carrie Claffey (Robert), Marsha Zinnikas (Richard), Christine Tuttle (Raymond), Mary Fraser (Kirk), Vincent Pielin (Cynthia), Victoria Wright (John) and the late Patrick Pielin; loving sister of Helen Vensak; and predeceased by 8 siblings; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sophie, a loving mother and grandmother, was an accomplished swimmer. She enjoyed long walks, especially with her loyal companions, Zusha and Maux. She loved dancing to polka music and volunteering at St. Mary of the Mount Church. You were sure to see Sophie selling raffle tickets at most events.   Visitation on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, 214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington (412 381-2323), where a Blessing will be held at 1:00 pm.  Private Interment.
