Salvatore “Sam” Pugliano
Age 94, of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Sam was born to Nicola and Mary Pugliano in Catanzaro, Italy. After immigrating to the US, in 1929, the family made their home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sam led an active lifestyle which included his work at Cardello Electric Supply Company and Goodwill Industries. When not hard at work, Sam enjoyed bowling, ballroom dancing, watching movies especially old westerns featuring his favorite, John Wayne. Sam never missed an opportunity to dance, including attending Center Stage, a gala for individuals with disabilities at The Bible Chapel, where he had the honor of being named the oldest guest the past several years. Sam was predeceased by sisters; Sarah (Louis) McGough and Rose (Tony) Arena; brothers, James (Sophie) Pugliano, Joseph (Bertha) Pugliano, and Vittorio (Mary Jane) Pugliano. He is survived by his sister, Mary Celmo (the late Leonard) of Fort Myers, Florida, along with his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Visitations on Sunday 4-8 pm at the Brusco - Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. 214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington (412-381-2323), where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 11 am.
