Ruth Reitmeyer Amaditz
Age 95, of Providence Point, formerly of Mt. Washington, on Thursday, May 12, 2022; Ruth has joined her late husband, Frank Amaditz, in heaven, and her late husband, Charles Reitmeyer. She is survived by stepchildren; Frank (Kathy), Thomas (Nita) and David (Mary) Amaditz; step grandchildren; Joe (Diane) Witkowski, Stephen, Alicia, Corina Amaditz, Elisabeta Palese, Bill (Debbie) Stehle, Adam (Temple) Stehle, Rochelle (Tom) Bender, Melissa (Charles) Petredis; She is preceded in death by her parents, Janetta (Sweitzer) Ish and John Ish; brother, Robert Ish; nephew, David Ish; half- brothers, Curtis and Carrol Ish; step-daughter, Patricia Amaditz Stehle; and grandfather, Edgar Ish, who fought in the Confederate Army; special nieces, Mary (Pete) Shipley, Peggy (Rich) Helburg; sister in law, Ruth Ish; niece; Susan (Tom) Mullen, nephew; Donald (Ruth) Ish; also survived by 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Ruth retired from Joseph Horne’s and University of Pittsburgh. She was a Eucharistic minister at UPMC, secretary to monthly luncheon, officer at GBU 388, volunteer at St. Mary of the Mount and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer to 456 Bomb Group Association. She loved to travel with Frank, visiting 22 Air Force bases. She traveled by bus, train, and cruise. She enjoyed visiting Virginia Beach with David and family, and traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, Panama Canal, Aruba, Niagara Falls, Florida and a train trip across Canada. Visitation on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. 214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington (412 381-2323). Funeral Mass in Mary, Queen of Peace Parish/ St. Mary of the Mount Church on Thursday, 10 a.m., followed by Interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. www.bruscofalvo.com
