NANCY McGANN DeCARPIO

Nancy McGann DeCarpio, at the age of 83, passed away at St. Clair Hospital on Tuesday afternoon May 6, 2025 with family at her side.  She faced her hard battle with cancer with bravery, optimism and good humor.  She was born  June 4, 1941 to Carmella Coccaro McGann and Paul McGann. Nancy was married to the late Philip DeCarpio for 41 years.   Nancy graduated in 1959 from St.Justin’s where she formed many lifelong friendships.  After high school she began a long and successful career of 45 years at the financial firm of Merrill Lynch. She is survived by her siblings George Ann Bower, (late Harvey), Paula Tournay (late Rich) and Richard McGann, (late Karen). Nieces and nephew Teresa Bower Shedlock , Lori Bower, Eugene DeCarpio, Dina Lukas, and Lisa Nicholson, great nieces Shea McGraw and Casey Lewis and great nephews Johnny and Artie Kane.  A Mass and Memorial service will be celebrated Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11am in St. Mary of the Mount Church/Mary Queen of Peace Parish. Please meet in the church.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity or The Little Sisters of the Poor.
