Michael “Mike” Faulds

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael “Mike” Faulds on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Mike, age 48, was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, godfather, coach and friend. Mike lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to the people and community he loved. Formerly of Duquesne Heights, Mike had been a proud member of the Upper St. Clair community for the past 13 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Faulds; his beautiful children, Ashlyn (age 12), Brennan (age 10), and Caelyn (age 7); his beloved mother, Margie, and stepfather, James “Jim” McClure; his brother, Kevin (Jaclyn) Faulds; his sisters, Megan (Jason) Dickinson and Erin Faulds; and his step-siblings, Nicole McClure (Tim Leahy); Shawn (Jamie) McClure and Patrick McClure; his mother-in-law, Betty “Ma” White; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene (Kip) Marchetti, Linda (Paul) Miller, Nicole White, Wendy (Tony) Fratangelo and Patty (Marco) Corona, along with a large extended family including many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless amazing lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Faulds, brother-in-law, Donald “Donnie” White Jr., and father-in-law, Donald P. White.

Above all else, Mike’s greatest joy was his family. He loved being a dad—not just in the big moments, but in the everyday ones: coaching games, running kids around to extra-curriculars, sharing meals, telling jokes, and creating memories that his children will carry with them forever. His family was his world, and he made sure they knew it every day.

Yet to many, Mike was simply “Coach.” He dedicated most of his “free time” to coaching his children and countless others in the Upper Saint Clair community, teaching not only the fundamentals of the game (football, basketball, baseball and softball) but also the values of sportsmanship, hard work, resilience and respect. He leaves behind a family and community made stronger because of his presence.

Affectionately known as “Biggie” by his many friends, Mike never met a stranger. He was the friend who showed up, the neighbor who lent a hand, and the person who made everyone feel welcome.  Those who knew Mike will remember his quick wit, warm smile, and genuine thoughtfulness. His kindness was quiet but constant, expressed through countless small acts of generosity that often went unnoticed by everyone except those whose lives he touched.

Mike’s humor and unique personality made him unforgettable. He rarely bothered to tuck in his shirt, somehow managed to wear two different shoes to work one day without noticing and proudly carried on with everyday life using Michelle’s leopard-print phone case without a second thought. It was common to arrive at his home for a party to find him still edging and mulching (he was a great landscaper) and he never hesitated to jump headfirst into DIY projects. He was comfortable being exactly who he was, and that authenticity made everyone around him love him even more.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Mike’s spirit lives on in the lessons he taught, the kids he coached, the friendships he nurtured, the laughter he inspired, and the family he loved so completely. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Friends and family received Friday, June 19, 2026, from 2 -8 p.m. at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc.  214 Virginia Ave. Mt. Washington (412 381-2323). Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Mount Church/Mary Queen of Peace Parish, 403 Grandview Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15211. We kindly ask for the immediate family and pallbearers to meet at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 9 a.m. and respectfully, for all others to PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
