John L. Price, Sr.   

Age 86, of Mt. Washington, on Saturday, May 6, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen Wilson Price. John was the son of the late Daniel Price and Margaret Price Young; loving father of John (Robin) Price, Jr., Laura (John) Fisher, Karla Price, Beverly (Mark) Protch and the late Heidi M. Price Nairn; also survived by stepson Mark Gizzo; Beloved Pap Pap of Jamie, Breanna, Joseph, Regis, Dean, Sefra, Salena and the late Shawn Patrick; and Great-Pap Pap of Emerson and Grace; step-grandfather of Anthony, Nicholas and Marco Gizzo: and uncle to many nieces and nephews; brother of David (Joanne) Young and Debbie L. Young.  He was also predeceased by his stepfather, David R. Young, Sr. and his siblings William R. Price, Daniel E. Price II, Robert P. Price, Margaret Price Waters and Beverly Price Hildebrant. John graduated from South Hills High School in 1955 and soon after he enlisted in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the 11th Airborne (503 Regiment) at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and was also a life member of the 82nd Airborne. He was deployed to Munich, Germany, to serve our country where he had many good memories.  John retired from his career as a union carpenter. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, and gardening.  Visitations on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  and Wednesday morning 10 - 11 am at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc , 214 Virginia Ave., Mt.
