Gary P. Scholl

Age 64, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in a UPMC Hospice Facility. He was born on January 24, 1958, in Pittsburgh, PA to James J. Scholl Sr. and Yolanda Scholl. Gary grew up in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Brookline and graduated from South Hills Catholic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before attending barber school to study hair styling. He received his barbers license and went on to open his first hair salon in Wilshire, CA. a suburb of Los Angeles, CA. In 1985, he married Andrea Cohen of Los Angeles, CA. Gary was a caring and compassionate person who always stepped up and took care of people in need. He was the owner of Gary’s Barbershop. He loved his profession and always talked highly of his customers. Gary loved to play the drums and loved to golf with his friends. Gary’s favorite was pizza. Gary is survived by his nephew, James J Scholl III (fiancé, Sheri Bujnowski); great nephews, Anthony and Steven Strain; his aunt and uncle, Ronnie and Pam Scholl and many close cousins who he loved. He always mentioned that he had the greatest close friends that where there for him all the time. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Yolanda (Petrucci) Scholl; brother James J. Scholl Jr.; sister in law, Lea Denise Scholl; niece, Nicole Marie Strain/Scholl, and many other family and friends with whom he loved. In honor of Gary, visitations will be held on Sunday, July 17th, from 3-7 p.m. at the Brusco - Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. 214 Virginia Ave. Mt.
