Age 78, of Mt. Washington, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Beloved mother of Stephanie Buka and Adrienne Buka; loving “Gaga” of Henry Buka; daughter of the late Dwight and Lillian Hill; sister of Dorothy “Dottie” Corbett; aunt of Helen Corbett Jones and Rachel Thieroff; niece of the late May and Harry Shupe (of Frostburg, Maryland); and their late children, Dan, John and Harry Shupe; also survived by cousins; Jane, Danny, Mark, David and Alex; extended family and friends. Emily served as Executive Director of the Riverside Center for Innovation and led economic development projects throughout Pittsburgh. She was loved by the Frostburg and Pittsburgh communities, and she will be dearly missed. No Visitation. Interment private. A Celebration of Emily’s Life will be held at a later date.
