Claudette Marie Freund 

On Thursday March 12, 2026, Claudia Freund passed away at age 76. She was the daughter of the late Marie and Clyde Elliott. She was the loving mother of Claudette Vogtsberger and the late Roberta “Bobbi” Luffey-Freund; the mother-in-law of Keith Luffey and Douglas Vogtsberger Sr.; grandmother of Allie Sharkey (Nick), Brittany Mitchell (Austin), Doug Vogtsberger (Peri) and Evan Luffey. She was elated to be the great-grandmother of Emmett and Emerson Mitchell. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She had eight sisters and one brother: Annette Amberson (Jim), Darlene Blakely (Jack), Patricia Elliott, Sharon Hennel (Denny) and the late Rosemary Greylock, Jean Marson (Richard), Chuck Woodfill (Marge), and Barbara Elliott. To quote Claudia: “We had our fights, we love each other. If you did anything to my family, you answered to all of us. There was a lot of love between us.” She was loyal, thoughtful, and kind. We miss her tremendously.  A celebration of life will be held at Gaetanos on Sunday, July 12th, 2026 from Noon to 3pm. Gaetano's address is 1617 Banksville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
