Age 78, of Mt. Washington, on Saturday, July 31, 2021.  Sister of James V. Kowal (Vivian Fruechtal Kowal) and the late Mary Lois Darke, Louis M. Kowal and Jeanette F. Tschannen; aunt of Roger W. Darke, Donna Darke Hoover, Michael R. Darke, Mary Darke Williams, Beth Darke Brazen, Perry D. Darke, Shelley Kowal Fortini, James V. Kowal, John L. Kowal, Susan Kowal, Daymon Tschannen, Ben Tschannen, Dennis (Kowal) DePretis, Robert (Kowal) DePretis  and the late Frances Darke Jaudy and Louis (Kowal) DePretis.  Also survived by 17 great nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces and nephews. Carolene graduated from St. George High School and was an assistant to  Pennsylvania State Representative Dan Deasy.
