Alfred Richard Silvio Falvo
Age 90, of Pittsburgh, on June 2, 2023. Al was preceded in death by the love of his life, Anna C. Folino Falvo, his wife of 66 years. Al was born on September 18, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Italian immigrants, Vincenzo and Sylvia (DeCiancio) Falvo. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in Korea as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and manager of the motor pool. In addition to Pittsburgh, his career took him to Texas for several years. Al was a member, elder, and choir member of Beechview United Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, PA . Family was very important to Al and family reunions were an annual summer highlight. Al was a very talented craftsman, handyman, and welder, and later taught welding for many years. He was a stained glass artist and created beautiful pieces which he gifted to others. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Alfredo (in 1931) and Vincent Falvo (in 2022) and sister Columba (Falvo) D’Eliso (in 2011). He is survived by and will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Al was a loving generous man. His laugh, joking personality and the twinkle in his eyes will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Visitation on Wednesday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the Brusco-Falvo Funeral Home, 214 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington (412 381-2323), where a Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Interment to follow with military honors at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to the John J.
